How the DEKA Again Alexandrite Laser Works 

The Alexandrite laser operates at a wavelength of 755 nm, which is particularly effective for hair removal. This wavelength is well absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in hair follicles. This light energy is converted into heat, which damages the follicle, inhibiting its ability to produce new hair. To ensure patient comfort and protect the surrounding skin, the DEKA Again device is equipped with an advanced cooling system. This system cools the skin before, during, and after each laser pulse, minimizing discomfort and reducing the risk of side effects. 

Capable of treating large areas quickly and effectively, leading to significant hair reduction after a series of treatments. While Alexandrite lasers are most effective on light to medium skin tones, the DEKA Again device includes features that allow for safe use on a broader range of skin types. The laser can target dark, coarse hairs while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. The large spot size and high repetition rate of the laser allow for faster treatment sessions compared to other hair removal methods. Treatments are usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
