RegenLab – Plasma therapy is the best choice for your beauty and health
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is derived from the patient’s own blood, which is processed to concentrate the platelets. These platelets contain growth factors that can accelerate the body’s natural healing processes. Plasma therapy procedure involves injecting platelet-rich plasma under the skin.
Hyaluron, collagen and metabolism are activated as a result of plasma injections.
The most effective way of plasma therapy for the following indications:
- Dry skin texture
- Seborrhea
- Acne and post-acne
- Scarring, including stretch marks
- Uneven skin tone
- Signs of aging
- Superficial wrinkles
- General health of hair
- Hair loss
Plasmotherapy, commonly known as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, is indeed used to reduce hair loss and promote hair growth. It is particularly effective for treating androgenic alopecia, commonly known as male or female pattern baldness.
PRP Therapy for Hair Loss Mechanism of Action PRP therapy for hair loss utilizes the growth factors and cytokines present in platelets to stimulate hair follicles, promote new hair growth, and improve hair density.
These growth factors are believed to:
- Improve blood flow to the hair follicles, providing essential nutrients and oxygen
- Reactivate dormant hair follicles and encourage the growth phase (anagen phase) of the hair cycle
- Decrease inflammation around the hair follicles, which can contribute to hair loss
PRP Hair Loss Treatment Procedure
Initial Consultation
The doctor injectionists reviews the patient’s medical history and assesses the extent of hair loss
Detailed examination of the scalp to determine the suitability of PRP therapy and set realistic expectations
Blood Collection
A small amount of the patient’s blood (typically 10-20 ml) is drawn from a vein in the arm
Processing the Blood
The collected blood is placed in a centrifuge, which spins it at high speed to separate its components
The centrifugation process separates the blood into three layers: red blood cells, platelet-poor plasma, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
The PRP layer, rich in growth factors, is carefully extracted for use.
Preparation for Injection
The scalp is cleaned and disinfected to prevent any infection.
Topical anesthesia or a numbing agent is applied to the scalp to minimize discomfort during the injections.
PRP Injection
In some cases, micro-needling may be performed on the scalp to enhance the absorption of PRP.
The PRP is injected into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles. Injections are typically spaced about half an inch apart over the thinning or balding areas.
Post-Treatment Care
Patients may experience mild swelling, redness, or tenderness at the injection sites, which typically resolves within a day or two.
Patients are advised to avoid washing their hair for a specified period and to follow any additional care instructions provided by the specialist.
Treatment Schedule
A series of treatments is usually recommended, often starting with 3-4 sessions spaced about 4-6 weeks apart.
Maintenance treatments may be needed every 4-6 months to sustain the results.
Benefits of PRP Therapy for Hair Loss
Non-surgical procedure with minimal downtime.
Uses the patient’s own blood, reducing the risk of allergic reactions or complications.
Effective
Can lead to increased hair density, improved hair thickness, and reduced hair shedding.
Patients can typically resume normal activities immediately after the procedure.

FAQ
Plasmotherapy, also known as PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy, is a procedure aimed at rejuvenating and revitalizing the hair. It involves the extraction and concentration of platelets from the patient’s own blood, which are then injected into the scalp to promote hair growth and improve hair health.
Plasmotherapy works by harnessing the regenerative properties of platelets to stimulate hair follicles. The concentrated platelet-rich plasma is injected into the scalp, where it promotes the growth of new hair strands, strengthens the hair shaft, reduces hair loss, and improves blood circulation in the scalp.
The benefits of Plasmotherapy for hair include:
- Strengthening the hair shaft
- Reducing hair loss
- Stimulating the growth of new strands
- Improving blood circulation in the scalp
Plasmotherapy is typically well-tolerated, with minimal discomfort during the procedure. Some individuals may experience mild pain or soreness at the injection sites, but this usually subsides quickly.
Results from Plasmotherapy may vary from person to person, but noticeable improvements in hair texture, density, and growth are often observed within a few months of completing the treatment course. Continued improvement may be seen over time with maintenance sessions as recommended by your healthcare provider.
